Thanks to my mum Marie for this recipe. I have loved these sausage rolls since I was a boy; they are super simple to make with the whole family (kids) able to help out. I like to enjoy them as a snack or part of a picnic hamper lunch.
Ingredients
1 cup of bread crumbs
500 gram packet of frozen puff pastry
500 grams of pork sausage mince
2 cloves of garlic (grated)
1 cup of onion (diced)
1/4 cup parsley (chopped)
Pinch of salt
Pinch of ground pepper
Method
Preheat oven to 200C / 390F.
Roll out thawed pastry until thin.
Combine all the other ingredients, and mix well.
Place mince mixture across the length of pastry.
Roll pastry over to form a sausage roll.
Slice pastry length ways separating sausage roll from pastry sheet.
Cut into small or big rolls, place on a baking tray lined with baking paper or foil.
Bake in oven for 15 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
